About me
As I mentioned, I am a product designer, visual designer, photographer, crocheter, knitter, pattern designer, and bibliophile.
I started my career in graphic designing, giving me a unique advantage—I’ve learned that design is design is design, whether it’s a logo or a user flow. It’s all about understanding the audience and what they need, which helps me take a thoughtful, end-to-end approach to everything I work on.
Since my portfolio reflect who I am as a designer, I wanted to use this space to share a bit more about who I am as a person.
Call me George—because I’m curious. When I encounter something new or unfamiliar, I dive in headfirst to figure it out. I take on challenges with blind optimism and a “how hard could it be?” attitude. Most of the time, it works out great and I walk away with a new skill. That one time it didn’t? I flooded my bathroom and made it rain in the kitchen. But hey, I learned a lot—and that some things are better left to plumbers.
On the more practical side, organization is one of my superpowers. I’m talking zero files on my desktop, clearly named Figma layers, and color-coded to-do lists kind of organized. Creative briefs? I live for them. This level of structure makes me an efficient and thoughtful contributor. My designs are intentional, easy to navigate, and rooted in purpose—every element has a reason to be there, ensuring a seamless user experience.
Outside of work, I’m an avid crochet and knit pattern designer—a hobby that reinforces patience, creativity, and a user-centered mindset. Just like every stitch builds a cohesive piece, I bring that same attention to detail to my product design work.
